Check Out Those Artifacts!

Hola human,

The summer holidays here in the UK are fast approaching, and the AI news is moving just as quick. Grab a coffee, complete your TeacherTapp questions, and let’s get started.

📚 Knowledge builders

  • Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) → A type of artificial intelligence that matches or surpasses the reasoning and problem solving abilities of a human.

  • Name that Band Primary educator, Graham Andre, has developed a fabulous quiz with AI. Test your knowledge of musicians and bands based on the image. Can you get them all?

 🤖 Industry updates

  • AI Bill in Kings’s Speech In stark contrast to the previous UK PM, Rishi Sunak, Starmer plans to will seek to enhance the regulatory safeguards around Large Language models (LLMs).

  • Stages of Artificial Intelligence  Open AI have unveiled 5 stages of AI development before it reaches what it deems AGI. Right now, their current offering is at Level 1: Chatbots. However, there are rumours that they are soon to release a model that would fit into their second category, reasoners.

✨Fresh prompts

  1. Okay, so this is more of a recycling, rather than ‘fresh’, but I think it is worth it. A few weeks ago I provided the following prompt that could be used in Claude with the ‘artefacts feature turned on.

You and an expert coder and educational resource creater. Create an interactive website that allows for dragging and dropping keywords of the water cycle. Do not forget to include an image. This is aimed for pupils at Key stage 2 in England.

You can now share that artifacts through weblink. This means that you could create a quick task like the ones below (have a try), and share them with pupils to do individually as you circulate the classroom.

The first artifact is of the water cycle, and the second is where pupils get to order the main reasons why they think the Great Fire of London was difficult to stop. Have a play and feedback. Why not share your own with the readers of TeacherPrompts?

As ever, thanks for reading and keep on prompting! Mr A 🦾
