Merry Christmas, Prompters!
Christmas greetings human,
Thank you for being part of the TeacherPrompts newsletter and staying subscribed. I hope everyone has a great Christmas. Below are some useful AI updates if you happen to be unwrapping a modern Apple device.
📚 Knowledge builders
Image Playgrounds → A new app on iOS devices that run Apple Intelligence. This on-device model provides many guardrails that prevent inappropriate images from being created. The prompt interface is novel in that instead of only offering a text box, it offers up themes, places, accessories and costumes. Furthermore, it can use images from your photo library or be used to create customised emoji. The header image of this newsletter was created in Image Playgrounds
Writing Tools → Built into the operating system, you can now use Apple’s generative AI model to do some useful low-hanging fruit LLM work. The image below provides an outline of what you can do with the writing tools. To access them, simply highlight some text and a pop-up with writing tools will appear. Click there and the pop up below appears. As these are built into the operating system, they will appear throughout all applications so you will not need to wait for your favourite apps to take advantage.
✨ Fresh prompts
Leftovers → After the festive period there are always leftovers that you may not know what to do with. Try this prompt to get some ideas. Change the examples as necessary, and include anything that you definitely do not want.
After Christmas dinner, you have a variety of leftovers like turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and veggies. Create a recipe using these ingredients to make a new, delicious dish. Whether it’s a hearty casserole, a savory sandwich, or a creative soup, think of ways to combine these leftovers into a meal that feels fresh and exciting. Be sure to give it a fun name and describe the cooking process!
As ever, thanks for reading and keep on prompting! Mr A 🦾
